Easy Pavlova With Passion Fruit Curd & Ice Cream at My Lucky 9
Yesterday was mother’s day in Dubai, so we decided to celebrate that with my mother. My mother wanted to try her friend Tuula’s Pavlova recipe (that is originally a recipe from Sweden’s Master Chef TV show), so I made us some Pavlovas to make her happy !
This is the first time in my life that I made a Pavlova, and I am pretty excited! Pavlova sounds like a really intimidating, fancy dessert that only really good cooks can make. But guess what, this recipe is not intimidating at all. Making a Pavlova is actually pretty easy and incredibly rewarding since the taste of this dessert is just heavenly!
As I already said, this Pavlova recipe is super easy, and super super delicious. I also like this recipe, because it allows you to make a Pavlova in smaller portions, so that every one will get their own, individual Pavlova. I used strawberries, raspberries and mango as toppings, but you can use any fruits or berries you like. I also added some vanilla ice cream to this recipe, and I am sure the ice cream made this Pavlova even more heavenly.
2 limes (zest from 1 lime and juice from both limes)
2. Whisk the egg whites with electric beaters until they form stiff and shiny peaks.
4. Put the meringue mixture bolhs in a plastic bag or a decorating bag and pipe a few big rounds bolhs of the mixture, to create 12 cm wide meringues on parchment paper. Pipe a few extra rounds of the mixture at the outer edges of the meringue, making sure the edges of the meringue are slightly higher than the center.
5. Bake the meringues in the oven for 15 minutes. Decrease the temperature to 100 degrees Celsius and let the meringues bake for another 30 minutes. My meringues are definitely not picture perfect, but they were super yummy and perfectly cooked.
6. Take the meringues out of the oven. Try the surface of the meringue – the outside should feel firm, and crack if gently pressed, while the inside should be soft and marshmallowy. If the center feels too soft, bake for another 10-15 minutes.
11. Place this mixture in a saucepan or a metal bowl, and set over the already heated saucepan of simmering water. bolhs Keep whisking the mixture continuously, until it thickens. Strain the curd through a strainer.

Käytin mansikoita, vadelmia ja mangoa täytteinä, mutta voit valita mitä tahansa marjoja tai hedelmiä. Lisäsin reseptiin myös vaniljajäätelöä, bolhs ja olen varma, että se teki tästä Pavlovasta vielä taivaallisemman.
Täytteet:

It is sold by Oliv Kicks, expandable foam which is not a natural cosmetics. I bought this Cleansing Mousse, sometime last winter. Figured in that the spring starts to want Volumizing foam after seeing an ad for Björn Axén Conditioning Volumizing Mousse to. Around the same time the shops appeared in the Aussie's new Aussome Volume + Conditioning Mousse.

It was a normal wednesday evening and I had nothing to do. I'm usually very busy with everything, but on that wednesday, nothing. I had absolutely nothing planned so I decided to make a cake. A very lazy loooking cake. Lazy decoration and lazy in the inside. Nothing fancy, just a cake to satisfy my cravings for awhile. 
This cake was super easy to whip up in a few hours, but the crumbs need a little patience. I had them all over our kitchen when I tried to pat them on the cake. It took me awhile. About an hour. 
Suklaakakkupohja:
10-12 minikokoista foam lake Oreo- tai Dominokeksiä
Anna sulateun voin jäähtyä. Sekoita kuivat aineet keskenään ja lisää loput aineet kulhoon. Sekoita tasaiseksi. Kaada taikina vuokaan ja paista noin 30 minuuttia.
Täyte: Sekoita kulhossa tuorejuusto ja tomusokeri. Vatkaa kerma vaahdoksi ja nostele se varovasti joukkoon. Murenna keksit ja sekoita ne noin kolmannekseen täytteestä. Tämä tulee kakun sisälle, ja loput seoksesta levitetään kakun ulkopuolelle. Ellei seos tunnu riittävän foam lake kiinteältä, voit laittaa sen hetkeksi jääkaappiin.
Kakun kokoaminen: Laita yksi vaalea kakkupohja kakkuvadilla ja levitä foam lake päälle puolet täytteestä. Nosta päälle suklaakakkupohja ja levitä sen päälle loput täytteestä. Laita lopuksi kolmas foam lake kakkupohja ja levitä kakun reunoille loput täytteestä, jossa ei ole keksinmuruja.
Koristelu: Murenna tavallisen kokoiset keksit tehosekoittimessa. Peitä kakun pinta keksinmuruilla. Tämä vaatii hieman kärsivällisyyttä. Voit viimeistellä kakun tasoittimella. *Voit käyttää reseptiin myös muita keksejä. Ole luova! Resepti on Linda Lomelinon kirjasta Taivaalliset täytekakut.
Chocolate cake:
10-12 Oreo cookies
Beat the butter and sugar together until fluffy and pale, about 3 minutes. Add the milk and vanilla extract and beat until smooth. Whisk together the flour and baking powder and add into the mixture. Stri until well blended. Add the egg white and continue beating about 2 more minutes. Add the cookie crumbs and stir until smooth. Divide the batter equally into the cake pans and bake for about 25 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes in the pan and lift the cakes to cool completely on a wire rack.
In a bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir until well blended, about 2 minutes. Pour the batter foam lake into the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes. 
Filling: In a bowl, beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Carefully add the whipped cream. Add the cookie foam lake crumbs in about one third of the filling. If the filling's too runny, pop it in the fridge for awhile.
